Following up on previous discussions, I was planning on doing a model fashion (like) shoot with UV (blacklight) to see if I can get some surreal and cool images.

Seeing how other members have graciously been volunteering their time to hold group sessions, i thought this might work with a small group as well. If enough people are interested, we'll go ahead, otherwise, I'll just go solo anyway! ha ha

ULTRA CHIC ULTRA VIOLET fashion photoshoot

What: Ultra violet/black light model photoshoot
When: Proposed - Wed, June 22, 6PM (somewhat flexible)
Time: 6PM(we need the sun to be going down after set up)
Where: Studio at Lakeshore and Leslie (film district)
Bring: UV Lights, UV supplies if you got 'em. Camera that can shoot high ISO or a tripod for slow shutter speed. Most importantly, bring your imagination!

Group is capped at maximum of 5. This is because we'll be concentrating on finer details and getting awesome shots so a large group is too much chaos for this. THIS IS NOT a "shoot-out" event! Only one person will be shooting at any one time so we all get a chance to be creative and the model not distracted. Hopefully everyone will have unique images at the end of the fun session.

I know Reimar already said he was pretty interested and has some UV lights already so I am holding a spot for him automatically. Since I am shooting too this time, that leaves 3 slots open if there is any interest.

I expect the cost to be about $40/each due to costs of a model, Make Up Artist, and UV supplies, paint, etc. Exact price will be determined closer to the actual shoot date.

I have one UV light i am bringing and will also donate some of my studio time for the event so there's no studio cost.

someone was talking about a way (sounds more like a bot) to register for any new ad-hocs automatically. it sure would have been useful for this one

If you use Linux you can use Specto to watch the Ad Hoc thread, it can immediately alert you of changes. There is probably a Win/Mac equivalent but I dunno cause I don't care. And for the record I don't use Specto in such a way here.

Hey PE, I feel bad that you are leaving and wanted to attend this event so consider this my going away present .. you can have my spot. Btw, we'll miss you buddy .. I've always enjoyed your colourful character here on the board.

We'll try to coordinate how the shoot will go so each of us gets something different and were not all shooting the same thing. No shoot-outs! ha ha

Ok, i think everyone registered has sent me their contact info now.

I had some scheduling issues back and forth, but we now have a model confirmed for Wednesday night.

Agatka is our model. I test shot with her before and she's pretty cool. She also has a colorful look and personality. On top of that, she has a fantastic expressive face for, hopefully, some cool UV make up shots. And hair color that she says should show with UV light already so even more perfect! Her hair is pink now for anyone looking to bring items to match.

Should be fun!

OK, we have a really talented make up and special effects artist on board. Should be a blast! I've been testing different light bulbs for the last few days too.
