Details:

What: Lynde Shores Sunrise and Nature Walk
When: Sun. Dec 13, 2009
Time: 6:30AM
Where: Main parking lot off of Victoria Street West, Whitby Ontario
Bring: Camera, tripod, bird feed, warm clothes, hiking boots

Lynde shores is a small conservation area in Whitby Ontario. We will start off catching The sunrise over the marsh and the board walk. Then a look around for any herons, ducks or geese. From there a short walk to bird feeder alley to try and shoot some chickedees and nuthatches. Some times the odd bluejay and woodpecker show up.
The a nice walk through the woods to a bird lookout and maybe on to the beach at Lake Ontario. After that we should be ready for a hot coffee and lunch.

darn, I am not going to be home... I'd join you guys if I was. I could wake up at 6:10am, roll out of bed, have a quick shower and be there by 6:30am. I live within a 5-7 minute drive away.

It's right around the corner from my house too ... but I've shot all around there so many times now that I fear inspiration has evaporated. But I'm in Mexico next week, so ...

That's Ok :) The sunrise was a little boring this morning.
Still got some good shots around the marsh and had fun with
the chickadees.
We all headed to Purple Woods after breakfast, but the weather turned nasty with freezing rain so headed home. (After traversing some unplowed dirt roads :) )

In all my years of photography, I don't have a single sunrise picture.
