The weather forecast looks good, so I think we're all set! :) (Knock on wood...)

Jen, I hope we won't have any trouble finding each other at the site. Look for the small group of people with cameras, a little way away from the other group of people (the RASC members) with their telescopes.

Oh, and try to dim your headlights as soon as you get to the parking lot; we don't want to blind anyone who's already dark-adapted.

Bring a red flashlight (or equivalent); red is less blinding that white.

PM me if any of you want my cell #.

Cheers!

I forget exactly what side street it's near, but the Finch passenger-pick-up area is right next to Finch station, and there should be some signs pointing it out...

For those driving directly to the site: Best access is from Bayview Drive; from Bayview, turn west onto Hillsview, then south (a left turn) onto the DDO grounds. Follow the driveway all the way to the end.

Yup!! (But hopefully you've used the discussion board and/or the PM systems to arrange your rides... anyway, hopefully no one will be left ride-less.)

See you soon!

Despite wanting to go, I've injured myself :(

I hope I can see it from my back yard.

Well, other than the piddly number of meteors (I only saw 1), it was a fun time. Hope you all got some good photos!

See you in August 2010 for the Perseids. :)

btw, when i watched the meteors at 3/4am, the meteors crossed everywhere without specified direction, so the sky is the limit.

i also recommend driving to "Milne Park" at Hwy 7 and McCowan in Markham to watch this in the open green field. There's a much wider frame of view there compared to the DDO and less light pollution.
