Details:

What: November Social
When: Sun. Nov. 29, 2009
Time: 5PM
Where: Failte Irish Pub, 201 City Centre Drive (near Square One), Mississauga
Bring: Appetite, thirst; cameras optional...

We're taking the social this month out to the west end! Mississauga's Square One is a really easy landmark to find, and the Failte pub is located just south of the mall on City Centre Drive. Mississauga Transit services Square One with several routes (3, 20, 26, 76) from Islington Station, and it's just a walk through the mall and the parking lot toward Burnhamthorpe.

Lots of free parking, and of course, it's close to the 401 and 403.

I may also set up a west-end event for earlier that afternoon to make your drive to Mississauga even more worthwhile!

No can do, between an afternoon Birthday party for a 1 year old in Brantford and the fact its Grey Cup Sunday (which reminds me, someone should make sure you can get space in the Failte with the GC kicking off at 6pm), i can't make it.

Have fun!!

The space in the pub has already been reserved. But thanks for the heads up; I didn't realize it was Grey Cup Sunday! :)

Unfortunately, I'll be at the Rattray Marsh that afternoon, which is quite a distance from Kipling. There's always Mississauga Transit, but it departs from Islington station, not Kipling. Or maybe there's someone leaving from another part of the city that you could catch a ride with???

If there is anyone coming from downtown (or anywhere TTC accessible) who I could grab a ride with, I would appreciate it. If you're willing, please PM me.

thanks!
Jon.

Would love to come out tomorrow but don't have a way to get to Square One. I've been to the pub you're headed to and I must say it's a great one--Have a good time everyone!

Hmm, seems to be a somewhat early start time. Will people still be there at, say, 7? What about 8?

I have no idea how late people will stay tomorrow evening, considering it's a Sunday night. I'd say 7pm is quite possible, but you can always call me to see what's happening. :)

Thanks to those who made the trek out to the west end! We had a good turnout, our own little room that contained the flash wars pretty well, and no competition with Grey Cup watchers. :)

Hope to see you again at the next social or at an upcoming event!

Thanks Sue for setting this event up, it was great seeing the usually faces as well as a few new faces.

Eddie glad to help you out with my extra hot pink gloves. Warm hands are far more important that the color of the mitts and everyone got a chuckle out of them too!

Thanks for organizing Sue. I thought 3 events in a day was a bit much but I was wrong and in fact had a good time all day.

Pam: as promised here its is http://www.davehillphoto.com/ behind the scenes will be here http://www.vimeo.com/5082148. Like I said love it or hate it but I find he's PP a challenge while I search for my own style.

Susanphotobug: Never been here but I plan to by Jan for materials http://www.woolfitts.com/Fulfill/CPort. ... bid=101161
