Can you please remove the line where it says "DELETE THIS LINE OF COURSE"? Just leaving it there so others know to remove it next time an adhoc is created.

Problem is many cemeteries are tightening up on photography, their land, their rules...Mt. Pleasant is rabid about it!

With 1 to 3 people it's easy to shoot in cemeteries the trick is not to be obvious that your whole purpose of being there is to take photos. One time a grounds keeper in Mt. Pleasant told me I couldn't take photos of the monuments but the trees and nature was OK. This time of year loads of people take photos because of the fall colours on rare species of trees. I have heard that security may escort you off the property but they aren't around much.

My set many taken at Mt. Pleasant

i like your set, very nice photos, and quite a grand cemetery.

there's a little cemetery up in steeles and airport road, small as in probably only 30 tombstones tops? no security, people can visit probably anytime at any hour. stumbled upon it while going to the camera show. there are also transmission lines in the area. here's a snap i took, there isn't that much there... you'll also have to park your car at one of the near by commercial buildings and walk over.

When it's wet or foggy my local the
Toronto Necropolis at 200 Winchester Street can be interesting.

There is one in the Yonge/401 area but the name escapes me. It is south of the 401 and east of Yonge up on a hill with a church right next door to it. There are many very old tombstones in it.

Wimp still ok at 11pm but there is one part of Mt. Pleasant that unusual things happen at least to me.

Prospect Cemetery is at St. Clair & Lansdowne.
I have never had a problem taking photogrpahs there
and as it is pretty narrow (but super long) it's pretty
obvious what you are doing.

Interesting. I was strolling around taking photos in Mt. Pleasant around 9am 2 Sundays ago and had no problem. I was always wary of being asked to stop, but was never approached by staff/grounds keepers. I left by 11:00ish.

Mt. Hope is not so bad. I have never been harassed by grounds crew or security there.

Ghost stories are best shared around a camp fire.

Has anyone set anything up for this yet?

I wouldn't mind going on a shoot!

I am still up for it but still haven't decided which cemetery to go.
and I think it will be good to do this with minimal participants for obvious reasons.

Went and checked out the Necropolis. Not as good as my trip through Mount Pleasant last December, and I hardly saw anyone else there.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/ofermod/se ... 865445749/

Did my best with the results -- my first time wearing out film canisters with bulk loaded film, so there's quite a bit of fogging :(
Ah well, shoot and learn!
