There really aren't "backstage press passes," especially at the Horseshoe, since it's so small and casual. Why would you want them, anyway, out of curiosity?

Sheesh, isn't it obvious? So I can tell my friends I'm a real photographer now and shoot regularly at the "Shoe" with great up and coming Canadian bands so they will be jealous. And when new members of TPMG lurk over to my website they will say "wow, that guys really cool, he shoots bands and stuff."

I don't think I've ever been there so I was easily impressed when the passes were offered. Their backstage pass is probably a "sidestage" pass behind a velvet rope. Anyways, I'm still going to ask for the backstage passes cos' it sounds cool to say we got them.

It's not nearly as cool as you think. And if you get a pic of a velvet rope at the 'Shoe, please take photos of it from many angles...I will cherish those shots forever. :)

It turns out spending 5 days in New York City with 15 hours of sleep has it's consequences. I have a fairly bad cough and cold right now and won't be well enough by the weekend to attend the concert events over the weekend.

I was really looking forward to add some velvet rope shots to my portfolio :(
