What: Scavenger Hunt
When: Sun. Sept 20, 2009 (weather dependent)
Time: 1PM
Where: in front of Old City Hall, 100 Queen Street West
Bring: camera, comfortable walking shoes, 2-3 ideas for items for the hunt

The Scavenger Hunt is on! Thanks to alexh for suggesting how to set this up.

Come and join other TPMGers on a Photo Scavenger Hunt around Toronto, starting outside of Old City Hall. (Note that this is not Nathan Phillips Square, but to the east of it.) We'll need a minimum of 12 people to sign up to make this happen, so that we can have groups of 4-5 people.

There is already a thread about suggestions for the scavenger hunt items going, and more suggestions would be great. http://www.tpmg.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12884 I'll have a non-TPMG friend select a bunch from the list of suggestions, and we'll add a few more the day of the event. Bring along a couple of ideas for the draw!

The event will go from 1pm to 4pm, and at the end of the hunt, those who can stick around will head to a nearby pub for a drink and/or food.

So, here's how this will go down (if we have enough people)

You will be divided into groups (randomly i'd imagine) of 3, 4 or 5 people (depending how many people sign up) and handed a list of items/concepts to wander around and shoot.

At the end of the day, each team member will email me their top 4 photos of the day (Please shrink them - No side i.e height or width bigger than 700 pixels). I will put up a gallery for each team and a voting poll for people to vote on the team's photos they liked best.

The idea being that everybody on the team contributes, nobody has to meet and discuss what photos are best, and you can do your own thing and explore the concepts as you see fit.

One of the camera fairs are on the same day, is it not?

I have no idea. But I am hoping that more people sign up in the next couple of days, or we may have to cancel since we only have 10 signed up so far.

thornhill one is at 20th, from 10AM to 3PM I believe.

I will either stop by there then head down or just go straight to event if I feel lazy

yeah it was a great event, thanks for organizing it guys! had lot of fun

I only received three sets of photos, so put them up for a week...I have stopped hosting my site, so the gallery has been removed.

Glad people had fun!

I've been meaning to send pictures but my parents arrived and they've taken over my computer room with all their luggage!
