Manual focus covers over 50% of my lenses now if it was fixed focus (including pinhole) that would be interesting.

Considering how little of my lens collection is AF now (5 lenses out of 26) I'm quite interested. But only if I'm available.

hmm, I might be able to join you guys for this one ... I have a 28mm manual focus lens which I can use on my D700. And I have a bunch of funky filters for it. I also have both medium format camera's with manual lenses.

Does it matter if it is manual focus prime or MF zoom?

Any limits on focal length?

I only have 2 AF lenses left now so I am very interested. If I am available....

Going to break out my old 50mm for this one

When you own a D40 the S in AF-S stands for "Stupid, you should have bought the D90.... "

Although it's a AF lens, I'm going to allow that. Hahaha..

Sadly I don't think it's even an AF lens. It's from an old Nikon EM that my dad handed down to me. But thanks for letting me come regardless!

It says "Any body type with manual focus lenses". So that means I can bring a TLR or an RF, right?

haha I need help with decisions. Telling me I can *only* use MF lenses is like telling me I can pick any lens I want except the 3 plasticky ones in the corner.

Someone fire some focal lengths my way? I'll take the first two suggestions provided I have that focal length or close to.

(ah crap, I got a meeting at school will probably be late like 7pm but will give you guys a call when I get downtown. )

Hopefully I can make it out as it's been a while and I'll finally be able to use up that film that's been sitting in my TLR.

Since it will be mostly street photography you'd probably want wide to normal, or maybe to mild telephoto (70mm or less). Of course it all depends on the photos YOU want to take...go out on your own street with a choice of lenses (so you don't have to carry the weight too far) and try to see which ones you'd like for this type of photography.

You'd probably wouldn't want to use strong or extreme telephoto for this type of photography (that'd be 150mm and up) but it all depends again on you and what you want.

You know a lens of such age won't meter on anything less than the D200? Of course it'll still fire, but the camera doesn't even know anything is mounted and you have to work by guesswork.

Ya I know. But thats what trial and error and learning is for right? I've been using it on and off for a couple weeks and it's not bad. I'm still new to all this so I guess if I want to learn about exposure and metering(and manual focus), this is a good learning experience.
