What: toy cameras @ ____
When: end of august?
Time: 12PM
Where: open to ideas
Bring: a plastic camera, holga or diana?

I've got a Fujifilm Instax Mni 7S to shoot with. I can lead it if there's enough interest. As for the location, I'm open to anything as long as it's TTC accessible.

you can buy them at urban outfitters in toronto, i'm not sure where else. i ordered mine online. and you can easily modify it to use regular 35 mm film, i think the other film is expensive. and yeah it looks like so much fun! i just took one roll of film so far, and maybe like 2 pictures turned out, so that's why i suggested this event :P

Holga originally uses 120 medium format film. Only about a buck or two more than the cost of 35mm film. Didn't know you could convert it though... but then again, why would you downgrade the type of film it uses?

You can also get Holga's online (ebay or many other websites).. a lot of choices for different versions and designs, flashes, lenses, etc.

You can get the 120 film at Downtown Camera.

To shoot panoramas. Some people also like the effect of having the exposure over the sprocket holes. Example from a flickr search: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jessicachr ... 344723311/

I don't own what is affectionately referred to as a toy camera like the holga but I do have a Kodak Cameo Motor EX and it is plastic, if its OK I'd be interested in the event.

Sorry just read the thread carefully and I guess the Kodak is too high end.

That's actually pretty cool... and I'm sure that's a toy-like camera.
