Details:

What: Markham Ribfest & Night It Up
When: Fri. July 10, 2009
Time: Starts at 6/7 PM
Where: check the links to events
Bring: money, empty stomach, camera

There are two eating events happening this weekend around Markham area. One is the Ribfest, which I heard was a traveling Ribfest that just came from another area, and the other is Night It Up, which is a late night eatery event for mostly asian food.

I was planning on checking them out on Saturday but the weather may be bad so I'm just going to go after work.

Ribfest (http://www.markhamribfest.com/) starts at 6PM

Night It Up (http://nightitup.com/) starts at 7PM

I will probably stop by the ribs first then check out Night It Up afterwards since they close at 1AM.

Not sure if this will make it as a tpmg meeting in such a short notice but maybe some people were heading there anyway. We can discuss schedules on this post if you are interested and if you want to track me down PM me for my number.

Cheers!

Lol. A bit short notice eh.

I'll probably head to Night it Up. Going to play around with the lensbaby again.

The ribfest will last till this weekend. I guess it would be crowded if the weather holds up.

haha short notice indeed! was planning on the weekend but since all I saw was rain throughout the day decided to head out today.

both places were packed. I was able to avoid the lineup at the ribfest since I got there little past their opening time (and even then people were lined up at some booth).

after eating moved onto night it up, where it was basically a parking lot + people everywhere! the lineup was pretty crazy. if you want to take pictures of people these places would be perfect. it would be harder to not take pictures of people since they are EVERYWHERE.

It's hard to compose with that many people. All you get is a sea of people.

yep, no matter what i tried to shoot there were random faces and back of the heads. if they were all facing the same way, or if i could get some room to cleanly target something it would have been great but 2192937192 people aren't gonna wait for you to take a picture before they move in front of you.

so i just gave up and ate :D
