Does anyone have an issue with me possibly bringing along my nearly 12 year old daughter? She's an avid photographer. Also, to set everyone's mind at ease, I am aware if I bring her she's totally and completely my responsibility. ;)

I thought I was going to miss this as I was in Detroit last Wednesday seeing X. I'm going to try to be there.

I was wondering, with the strike and all will the Guild be open? Would it be subject to pickets?

Hmm... it could be subject to picketting. I will drive by this morning on the way to work to check it out. It is a public park though, and they can't stop us from entering the park.

Hello Folks,

I went by the grounds this morning, and there is nobody picketting the parking lot or anywhere else at the Guild. I suspect its not really a hot spot for that anyhow. The city grounds crew that work there come from another location I believe anyhow, so that's probably where they are picketting at.

So I think its pretty safe to assume that we will not have any problems. But just in case they are there mysteriously out of the blue. Lets all meet at the parking lot just north where the Pizza Nova is (in the strip plaza), and we can walk down into one of the alternate entrances to the park (roughly a 3-4 minute walk).

The entire park and FACILITY is governed by the city of Toronto.

Just to clarify

No Picketting = Meet At the Guild As Planned

Picketting = Meet at the plaza where Pizza Nova is just a 4 minute walk north of the Guild Inn.

The kid's graduation from grade 6 completely tired me out last night...we were home late and I'm still recovering from surgery. We're going to have to bail on this event, however I/we do hope to make another one in the near future so we can meet you guys...after all, it's called a meet-up group for a reason!

I might be able to show up to this a little later, after my dance lesson. I'll only have my p&s though, so we'll see. Will make sure to take my running shoes along just in case, and David, I'll call you if I'm planning to come by just to make sure you're still there.

I take it that no one will kick us out if it gets too late, as in "dark"?

Given the time of year, and with a tripod, I figure there will be good light 'till 10 pm. So I'm going to have supper and be a little later. See you in the ruins.

Thanks for setting this up, David. Even though I was only at the Guild for a few minutes, I got my share of mosquito bites. And dinner was a lot of fun, but Maureen, you need to change that ring tone! ;)

Also, thanks Chris, for helping me get through that 5-way stop (why 5-way???) and find the 401.

Thanks David for setting this up. It was lots of fun! Good to see some new and old faces at the event.

The annoying tone, I've learned to tune it out. Hey, he was glad I so close by when I called and they made it to the 10:30 showing for the Transformers Movie. So they were happy too.

Thanks to all who came and endured the ankle biting skeeters... bloody things! I had fun, and didn't shoot a single "digital" image.. I shot all medium format, and 4x5 film.

Hey Chris, where's the image of Dmitrijs with his Nifty Fifty that you took with your Rokkor?
