Mine mine mine! Thanks Janet. Does it mean you're freeing up a spot at the farmhouse as well?

Wow some changes have been happening with the parties attending the trip.

Not to worry everything is all OK.

@Janet -- Sorry you are not able to attend, and thanks for letting us know.

@Catherine -- Glad you are now joining us. Good to see you are booked on the flight with the majority of us.

@Matt -- Sorry you are unable to attend, and thanks for letting us all know. PM sent.

We still have 10 people attending and all accommodations (3 cabins and 1 farmhouse), and flights are all booked. 1 mini van is booked and then Sarah's Mom's car is used for local trips a 2nd vehicle is being looked into for the Cabot Trail.

So Attending Update is:

1)Sarah
2)Marilyn (Sarah's Mom)
3)Maureen
4)Chris
5)Pam
6)Marcos
7)Catherine *newly added
8)John W
9)Eric D
10)May

Just under 2 months away from our departure.

I will also email everyone with the itinerary (hopefully on the weekend) of what has been planned so far for all to see. That includes other parties who were interested in this too.

Just over 5 weeks away and here is the itinerary. Everyone attending should also get an email with all the details too.

Nothing is set in stone and some things may change, or not be done, or may be longer at certain locations, or some items may not be done at all. A daily/nightly meeting will be held to confirm the next days agenda.

We are still confirmed at 10 people on the trip.

You better hope that wherever you are going to eat - they are really fast at cooking, because only 1/2 hour to eat is not much time.

Well hope you guys have made your wagers and bets, because if you notice the flight time in the thread lists us arriving at 6:09pm by West Jet (that is 7 people). One person does arrive earlier on Air Canada at 3:58pm.

So I guess the itinerary works for the first arrival, however dinner will need to be bumped back.

You be the judge are we on schedule or not.

Just a note times are not always going to be followed, (They are just guidelines), sometimes they were a time slot for the calendar.

Each day will be a fresh start and times are only approximations.

Dinner of a half hour -- gee can't you eat at a fast food take out for that time. Just kidding! Dinners will like be moved to around 5:30pm or 6:00pm to allow for time to order and eat and still have time to get to our sunset destination.

Everything will work out and fall into place, no one needs to worry.

Thanks Richard for the vote of confidence. Much appreciated.

Yes our Tobermory trips were a blast and everything worked out with everyone enjoying themselves. Sometimes changes were made and that was no big deal. Even other shorter trips too have been great fun.

It is a big job organizing, planning, coordinating events and people and in the end it has always been a success. As with working with groups of varying likes and favorites it becomes a juggling act to try and accommodate everyone and everything. I think working with kids all day helps too as you always have to be 2 steps or more ahead of them and always planning, and of course lots of patience too.

Catherine sorry you are unable to make the trip with us, I know you were excited about the trip and looking forward to it. We will think of you on the trip. Take care of your self.

Thanks for changing the whale watching trip reservations to 9 of us. Everyone will pay when we arrive at the location. Also thanks for letting us know.

I'm considering taking 1 strobe with the battery for portraits. A PIA but the money shot always makes it worthwhile if I can get some wizened sea dogs at the docks.

And by that you mean overcast skies and only some rain, right?

I mean, just enough weather to make the photos interesting.

See you when we get back. Off to pack the last few items and then wait for the taxi.

But of course!
(But only when you're shooting otherwise...sun and cool breezes, especially for the clam/lobster bake, which, if it isn't on the itinerary, should be!)
