Thanks David and Janet for organizing. This place is awesome. Unfortunately, we rushed to catch the Zombie event and couldn't finish exploring the entire area, so I guess I'll have to come back here one day.

During dinner, I mentioned to a few people a frame store in Mississauga that's having a sale in November. The name of the store is Bordertrends, at 5496 Gorvan Drive, Mississauga, L4W 3E8. The sale begins on Nov. 1, and apparently has very good prices on frames (this is second hand information since I have never even checked out frame prices). Also, it is apparently good to go as early as possible in order to find a good selection of frames.

First roll processed:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ofermod/5116626790/" title="Collapsed Caboose by ofermod, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1081/5116626790_7c70d3f416.jpg" width="500" height="319" alt="Collapsed Caboose"></a>

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ofermod/5116024697/" title="Short turn by ofermod, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1136/5116024697_e86e59a99e.jpg" width="500" height="320" alt="Short turn"></a>

I'm still not sure if I should process the second roll... I'm not sure that it actually went through the camera properly.

Hi all:

I am so sorry we weren't able to attend but had a family emergency that came up.

The photos are fantastic - looking forward to going there and doing some shots in the near future, just wish we could have been with the group.

Sorry to hear that, bummer.

I don't know what your problem was, or if what I do even applies here, but...

When I have put a roll of film (35mm) into one of my old manual cameras, I turn the rewind crank carefully until I feel a very slight tug, Then when do the first cocking of the shutter for that roll I look to see that the rewind crank turns and keeps turning as I cock.

Haven't got into that habit yet. But, I did discover that I've been cutting the leader a bit too large and it slips out of the take-up spool. Will have to cut them smaller next time.

Thanks for the advice.
