That's gorgeous. Love the colour reflection. Where is the quote from?

Can anyone be more specific about where you folks did sunrise shots in Providence Bay? I was there scoping things out this afternoon in preparation for tomorrow and/or Monday morning and the only place that looks remotely promising is near the Harbour Centre.

http://www.huronsandsmotel.com/MapOfIsland.htm

We stayed at the Huron Sands Motel in Providence Bay.

We headed down to Elizabeth St and turned right. It comes to an end as far a pavement goes, but right across is a dirt road and you follow that road, past a few other roads and a few gates which were open, almost to the end of the road. There is a bend (about 90 degrees to the right) near an open area with rocks/bolders and shrubs (on your left), we just turned around on the road and faced back out. We walked in over the rocks and into the bay. You are actually facing back into the beach at Providence Bay. The fish and chip place which has good food and a good breakfast told up it is kind of a private road but it was ok to use it. Our first time down the road we went to the end, it is not far after the clearing. The clearing is fairly large so you shouldn't miss it. As for time it was maybe about 15 minutes. Watch for deer as we say one on the dirt road on the way out. Hope that helps.

Thanks Maureen. Unfortunately we were so short on sunshine this past weekend we were unable to capture any golden hour shots pretty much all weekend. The lone exception was a little bit of sun at sunset when we happened to be at Gore Bay. Ah well, we still got some great shots this weekend.

Next time we're on Manitoulin Island we're going to make sure we do the Cup & Saucer trail, it looked very promising (especially at this time of the year with the colours changing) but we just ran out of time.

The highlight for our version of this trip? Salmon run and spawning at Bridal Veil falls. It was surreal!
