Hey All,

Just reaching out to anyone that may have a spare flash that I could borrow for tomorrow? I'm just guessing that it'll be needed tomorrow night.
Rightly or wrongly I left mine in NZ when I was trying to pack lightly.
I am shooting with a D90.

Thanks in advance!
Andrea

If anyone wants to ride with me -- I have space too. Although I won't be coming from downtown Toronto.

Hello! neighbour
Why don't we go together from Newmarket?
I live right next to the Glenway Golf course.
So, I can pick you up.. say Newmarket Terminal?

Based on my actual location, you're better off with me picking you up. There's an (informal?) rule where I ride in Maureen's van, but I can drive us to the meetup location, and you can ride in Lxdesign's van if you want.

PM me with your cell number, and we can discuss this further tonight.

Thanks :)

Hi Maureen:

This was a great idea! :D An amazing night and opportunity. Too bad Blackcreek doesn't do something like this sometime. Thanks for organizing the event.

Somehow I lost track of where everyone went. After you said everyone was inside I was trying to get a shot of the Christmas horses and when I went to the barn I couldn't find anyone. Not sure if you left or I just wasn't looking in the right place. Anyway sorry we got separated.

Daryl

Thanks for organizing the event and for the ride Maureen. It was a good day to see and shoot Lang Pioneer Village.

I assume you are talking about the Dickens Christmas Carol program. That doesn't seem like the same idea of just having the village open at night and lighting the buildings. And it's like $30!

There is one at Westfield, which appears to be similar to the Lang event, although I have never been to either of them.

Thanks everyone for coming out and enjoying the day and evening.

It was a great and lots of fun too.

It was a bit cold and we'll all be more prepared for the next outing.

To all my passengers you are welcome for the ride. It was a blast and we had many laughs all day long.

Maureen

I guess yesterday was mother nature telling us it's time for the long underwear...

Anyway, a photo (though talking to Pam, a lot of us saw this framing, so I can't claim to be unique):

According to the timestamp, it looks like I changed my mind at the restaraunt.

Can't tell, then, if it was the food or the cold.

Could be both Ben. The size of the chicken looked like it was too soon before its time. :P

Didn't get much ...... was way too crowded. I enjoyed the event, but in reality, probably would have enjoyed it much more without the camera gear and tripod. Still... I got some nice images - 1 in the log cabin, and 1 on the church. Here they are:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/lxdesign/5236336163/" title="The Log Cabin by lxdesign, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5161/5236336163_9b0ecf955d.jpg" width="500" height="332" alt="The Log Cabin"></a>

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/lxdesign/5236926888/" title="Lang Church Window by lxdesign, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5130/5236926888_fee76162de.jpg" width="500" height="334" alt="Lang Church Window"></a>

You could be right about that. I was wondering if we all accidentally ordered the quail.

Since I decided at the end that I couldn't make it, I guess I'd better return these:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ofermod/5236551607/" title="Molson Mill by ofermod, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5289/5236551607_e0517e6747.jpg" width="500" height="334" alt="Molson Mill"></a>

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ofermod/5237158050/" title="Keene Hotel by ofermod, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5001/5237158050_15598d61c8.jpg" width="500" height="334" alt="Keene Hotel"></a>

And the rest of the set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ofermod/se ... 237158050/

Since I didn't make it, does it cancel out the fact I was late?

Thanks Maureen for organizing the event. Wasn't exactly with the group but I had fun shooting this (especially in the cold cold weather. Should've brought thicker jacket :p). Hopefully next time I'll be able to join with the group. :)

@David: The log cabin shot is amazing. Love it! :)

Got a few that I like.
