they're still on the way.

Around 7 they were still checking into their up scale hotels. Certainly not like the good old days, not really motor sports more like a commercial and tame something or other.

One Lap of America is going on this week too. Far more exciting and they actually DRIVE their cars in that event.

If you want to see rich people drive very expensive racing cars at speed check out the Ferrari Cup Challenge at Mosport. Now I remember one year they crashed too many and declared Mosport unsafe for racing doctors and dentists:D

Actually one of the most exciting venues where they have all levels of rally to a drive in the park is the Newfoundland Targa.

By the time the cars started trickling in it was getting dark. It was definitely good to go, but the novelty of it all wore out as soon as 5000 people showed up. I left before the sun came down, here's some photos.

I got there after 10PM, was pretty good since most of the crowds cleared out. Saw a few TPMGer's around 11:30. Got home too late to process my pics.

If you've never driven the Mosport track there are a few tricky corners. Turn 2 is notorious, its an off-camber blind left downhill.

I have raced in casc scca and bmw club racing at least 8 times at Mosport and turn 4 before they "improved" the track was far and away the most scary corner when things went wrong they really went wrong. It's a piece of cake now that they improved the track. My point was that for the most part rich people with $.75 mil race cars were actually putting money and life on the line to race not this fake commercialized rebel without a cause stuff.

Mosport is technically a difficult track and turn 2 is a legendary corner and takes skill to get around. Most serious accidents seem to happen at exit of corner 1 and 4 maybe because of the higher speeds turn 4 and exit from pit lane turn 1

Street is more dangerous than track. You risk more life and limb driving in Markham than you do at Mosport.

Throw them all in jail  or do you mean like rush hour on spadina while riding a bicycle.

Street racing and track racing is for pussies. Try a real north east hill climb if you want to do a real man's sport without any barriers 8)

If you want to see cars in a better day of light, go to the upcoming show to be held this summer at Yorkville. One of the guys representing the Porsche Club and Ferrari Club of America passed out a flyer for the Yorkville Exotic Car Show that will be held on July 10th from 11:30a, to 5:00pm.

Almost every car had finger writing all over them.

lol, something tells me a person who takes their car on a multi continent hooning road trip isn't too concerned about the condition it ends up in. Finger smudges would be the last of someones worries. I saw a GT3RS with the entire area around its back pipes melted off.

I was expecting that answer. Just because they do that doesn't mean that you can go ahead and do this. It's called simple respect for other people's stuff.

If I see you 'abuse' your camera equipment and I came up and wiped my finger across the front of your lens, how would you react? You don't know. Just respect people's stuff, simple as that.

Anyways that's my two cents, no need to continue this discussion within this thread.

I feel that I have the same respect for OPP as you do, I just don't see this falling under that category.

If my lens was as filthy as that car and you wrote your name in it, I would think its funny. If my car was spotless and you smudged your name into its shiny pearlescent coat of paint, I would kick you in the nuts.
