Wow! Already 24 confirmed and 28 maybes.

Of course, it's not /really/ a big event until someone posts the ad-hoc for taking the ferry full of photographers.

I'm disappointed. I was hoping this was a free trip to the Bahamas.

Here are a couple links to winter photography some may find handy

Here are some sites to browse
http://www.outdooreyes.com/photo18.php3
http://www.outdooreyes.com/photo15.php3
http://www.winter-vacations-ontario.com ... raphy.html
http://www.reflectiveimages.com/WinterPhotoTip.htm

Also don't forget money for the ferry $6.50 per adult

If anyone needs my number to get in touch you can PM me.

Tim

And to Collettev -- Swishing is acceptable in the winter :)
My motto for the winter is "If you look good, you probably are not dressed properly :) "

Great to know I won't be the only one looking like the Michelin man (Or actually women)...my jacket is so puffy , but it's warm...remember Georges jacket on seinfield...

Well on the positive side...if the ferry capsizes you can all just hold on to my jacket...LMAO

In such cold weather swish = OK, splash = very bad.

Now where are my brandy flask, anti-winter parka, Nipigon nylons and Kenora fedora?

Hey guys! My name is Bart, I've been signed up on TPMG for a bit but haven't really been participating. It's hard to get out and shoot this time of year so I figure I should get my ass off the couch, socialize and meet some great people.

I'll be the awkward shy looking guy in the green argyle hat! :)

LOL, I'm not a big fan of the cold but while this event does sound like a lot of fun, I've got morning classes at George Brown on Saturdays. Makes for too long a day for me... The swish will have to wait another day. lol

Darn, and I actually broke down and bought snow pants today so we could all swish together! First time I've worn snow pants since I was seven! Sorry you'll miss the spectacle!

Oh btw, may I ask if there are any more TPMG tags available for sale? I'd like to get one, and apparently official events are the place to get 'em.

5 hrs sounds like a long time to be out in the cold. If we meet at noon but the sun doesnt set until 5. Wonder if the bathrooms are open?

The Rectory Cafe is open 11am to 5pm and also there are washrooms just outside the fire station. The rest of the facilities are closed for the winter.
