Justin had mentioned needing to make a decision today for the site as they require a deposit from him. He had asked everyone to re-confirm their attendance by clicking on the green/blue/red tab above their name.

how about tentatively raising the prices to 20?

10 more from each of us isn't much as individuals but if J has to cover for no shows that would be a bit much. this will allow us to book the place with the people that are confirmed right now and if others do show up, we can use extra money for food and such since it will be a lengthy session.

it also seems like it might rain on saturday so not sure how the zombie thing will pan out. we may end up spending more time on the theatre since it will be booked for the day anyway. since the zombies are headed towards the theatre as well, maybe we can lure some in for photo shoots with promise of brains.

Justin,

You might want to set up a paypal account so we can all send you payment for the deposit. This will make things easier for collecting for this event or any future event.

I haven't checked the events in a few weeks. So I added my self to this event and confirmed. I wll be able to come and bring all my new equipment.

As discussed in previous posts, Justin, could you provide the address and how much money to pay you back for this? If you can update the original event info to show this, that would be helpful.

ok so the location is the theater near The Brunswick House, exact address I will have soon, and 10am start

If everyone doesn't mind doing the $20 for now, it will cover the booking

Paypal may take too long, so if you can you can EMT me $18 (and your transaction fee will make it about $20 / person) and any money I get from everyone that is extra, I will divide up fairly for everyone

My email should be on my profile, as I just don't want to post it in a thread for a web bot to grab

hope that works for everyone

the profile email masks the address so I'll use the contact info from your website. now time to try out this email money transfer thing, heard of it but never used it before!

@ah_kev - you need to click on the "register" button and then once again for confirmation and then send funds to J____ (Justin).

Perhaps we should have a running list of who's paid, I'll start:
Also make sure you click the column you are in above to confirm your attendance.

So we currently have 8-9 paid out of 25? I suggest a deadline of 12pm tomorrow for payment since the event is in two days.

There is a small studio on the south west side of Brunswick@Bloor that I've been to before. Its also a comedy/independant film club and its about 20 feet from the corner - you go through a glass door and up a flight of stairs. I can't remember the name of the place but it could probably hold about 15 people with 4 lighting setups.

Brunswick Theatre
296 Brunswick Ave., Toronto, ON
(647) 282-3627

Ceilings are lowish but it should accomodate us if we have around 15 people. I don't know if they are booked either.

ah crap - probably the same place :)

I cant make it but I did meet up with Justin today and gave him my $20 anyways. Canceling this late isnt in any way his fault and I dont want to penalize him for taking the trouble to organize this event by leaving him out of pocket.

I would really, really love to attend but a late breaking obligation for my wife means I am on kid duty saturday. Coming to the strobist II event would mean forcing my two kids to miss two soccer games and a hockey practice and I just cant do that even if it IS what I would rather do.

:(

Hey Justin,
I was just surfing around and the website for Studio204 says $40/hour with a minimum of 2 hours required. It also mentions day rates are available - it might be worth a look.
