Ouch, the Distillery District photo licensing policy is steep!

High Park sounds good.

Are you guys ok with going to High Park again? or any other park?

just out of curiosity, what other parks would be a good setting? does the guild require a permit?

if we're in two groups, are we both starting at 1 and shooting simultaneously or would there be an 2 different start times? just asking because i need to leave around 5ish so just trying to get an idea.

it's so hard to go 'legit' with these locations.

just received email from the distillery. here's what she has to say

Hello Rhommel,
Thank you for your email. Yes, your photo shoot requires a photo permit. With a shoot of this size, each photograhper will require a permit. All permit information and purchasing can be found here: http://www.thedistillerydistrict.com/photo_permits.php
Thank you for choosing the Distillery District.

Best,
Rebecca

What I don't get, is who on this list is a professional? (with the exception of Rhommel). So because we own DSLRs we are considered pro by the distlillery district? And where do they get wedding photography from? Just my two cents worth...

BTW...High park suits me fine! :)

Something's come up for the 13th all of a sudden.
Sorry if my withdrawal screws things up. Hopefully I can make it out to the next one!

Thanks again.

Well...considering we have 10+ participants, it may make things smoother if we have 2 couples. I assume however that having 2 couples will affect the current cost.

Oh...I see. Would it be safe for everyone to just lock down on 1 couple with the current number of people who's committed?

I am going to withdraw at this point. High Park isn't as attractive to me as the distillery at this time of year.

Too bad about the strange approach of the management of the district to a large group of potential customers for their tenants (we probably would have ate/drank in the district afterwards) at a time of year when it probably isn't that busy in the area.

Same here. Was hoping for some more exciting backgrounds and I've already done the Rhommel High Park event...

I have never shot at High Park so I'm pumped!

And I am okay with 1 or 2 couples, doesn't matter. 2 couples, although, will give more picture variety :D
