What: Photowalk @ Yonge/Dundas Square - Kensington Market
When: Sat. April 9, 2011
Time: 12:45PM
Where: Meet at Starbucks, inside the AMC building (10 Dundas East)
Bring: Anything you want. It'll be a photowalk so tripods might not be as ideal.

Please register if you are planning to come. You can PM me for my number. Let me know if you want to join us later. I'll be shooting until around 5pm.

Can't make Saturday, will join if you do the walk on Sunday.

Gonna give this a little bump.

Looks like there's a rally going on at that time at Dundas Square. Might be worthwhile to shoot.

Looks good. might want to meet 15 min earlier at a different location off the square.

looks like rain, my used weatherproof p&s film camera from BH should be arriving thursday. manual says the IR AF works in the rain, guess I may be testing that out.

Meeting before the crowd is a good idea. How about accross the street by the Starbucks inside the AMC building? I will change the original info accordingly

My used Chinon Splash AF-2 arrived. When I open the box every thing was there just like new. Original rap around the camera neck strap still sealed in bag. I opened the camera back and the metal pressure plate to aid in the quick load fell out and I discovered the plastic mount tab for it on the inside of the camera back was broken, bummer. So I took a roll of 400 Max Gold and loaded it up. No point in possibly wasting the good stuff. Rather than just slipping the end of the film in the way it is supposed to work I pushed in until it made one and half turns around the take up spool. Closed it up, hit the shutter release 3 times as instructed, opened the back, film on the spool winding through and nice and tight. Happy camper here I can live with this.
It looks like it was never used or if it was the plate probably broke out when the first roll of film was loaded. A new slightly defective camera that workes for 29 bucks. Bring on the rain this Sat.

Camera listed for 279 bucks in 1990, A titch above my wifes Kodak Cameo Motor EX.

Wish I could make this one. Event at Dundas Square and Kensington Market is an great opportunity for shots. Alas, gotta work to support the hobby.

Sorry I had to cancel most of my photowalks for next week. Work unfortunately has to come first. This one is still on though! See you all there.

Me too..... I am going to park at College and Spadina so I don't have to walk back too far.

Thanks for organizing Eric..... My knee and feet gave up at 2:30..... I haven't been out walking in a long time, so I was done.
