I'm back after my "wedding' year and I'm trying to shoot like CRAZY
Who's interested in doing some strobist stuff again? (a general term people will recognize...)

Details:

What: Strobist Affair 3
When: TBA
Time: TBA
Where: right now, in the recesses of my mind... :S
Bring: probably a camera, but I think we can figure out lighting for everyone to try, and test out

I have David Hobby's Strobist Favorites Gallery Vol.1 flash cards, and personally, I want to do them all!! So I figure, why not do them with other people? :D
Alternatively, I also have a bunch of models interested in shooting, creatives, body work, headshots, etc... so really, I'm wanting to STROBE away!

Any interest? If it involves models, in the past I've charged a nominal fee. I'd probably be doing the same. Depends on interest.

Is this designated to more advance photographers or beginners?
I'm very interested to learn, but I yet still have to get my own flash. :)

I would have at least 2 sessions, more for beginners, and another for more advanced work.

example 1: Here is David Hobby's flash card to show a floating carrot. Lets do it! (intermediate)

example 2: Lets try using one strobe, and see what we get from it, then move to 2, and another light source, etc... (beginner)

I'm in...depending on that date if I'm available.

I don't know if it's the same flash cards I have, "Strobist Photo Trade Secrets" but the one I really want to try is in Vol. 2 and it's the shot of the water balloon busting and you have a ball of water.

In that case you may be interested in an event going on this Saturday Mike. http://www.flickr.com/groups/toronto-st ... 225349138/

Definitely not during office hours and I'm excited at the interest!

Mine is Vol. 1, but I heard the same about Vol. 2.

Water Ballon is definitely something I'd like to do, and replicate as well!

Great! i gather there is a majority right now for an advanced session.

If you are reading this post, please send me a PM or email to let me know which you'd rather do, and what you're preferred first project would be.

I'm siding with the water ballon and dropping into a water glass shots. starting off easy :D

So i've gotten a couple of responses so far, and they are leaning towards having an "advanced" session with water ballons and inanimate objects.

We can use my condo space since its free but if we go over 15 people, we need to pay for a mandatory security detail. I know, weird.

So I'll put together an event for April for a "Wet Strobit Affair"
