Most of the old buildings I think have been torn down now. It's under construction.

Incorrect... the roof has been removed, and the structure has been modified to accomodate the new building within the old. Many of the historic components are being kept, and it was supposed to be getting a new glass roof in sections -- but I am still suspect on that one. Can't wait to see what the end result will be. They have also kept the kilns in tact - just covered over during construction. The brick drying yard roof was removed, which is maybe what you were thinking of.

Thanks for the clear up. Driving past it looked like it was being torn down. Good to know they're preserving some parts of it. Hopefully after the reno work, it turns out being photogenic. :D

I think they are talking about this kind of pictures... this one is taken 2 days before they started taking the roof down so this could be one of the last pictures of the original brickworks.

Certainly a lot of Toronto photographers had chance to shoot inside

Sorry, what I meant is that Evergreen has been talking about a photography exhibit from photographic works from people who have visited and photographed the brickworks. I don't know any more details than that at the moment. I can make an inquiry about it.

I called Evergreen Brick Works (The official name of the property now) and they said there was interest in a private exhibit, but nothing finalized and they couldn't release any information as it was a private interest. What I got from that conversation and the limited information on their website is that a private party is renting out space in one of their event/exhibit centres and hosting their own show.

I walked by there 2 weeks ago and there was still construction going on with only the Farmers Market pavilion being accessible. The path leading up the hill and to the lookout was temporarily blocked off due to construction.

The historic sections of the site are closed off and will be accessible through guided tours only. The Kiln building is going to be an "event hall".
