Details:

What: Yet Another Zoo Event
When: 12 Sept 2009
Time: 11:00 am
Where: Meet at the benches just inside the front gates.
Bring: Yourself, camera, $21 for admission + cash for lunch, comfy walking shoes. Optional: Telephoto lens, tripod, $3 admission to Shark and Stingray exhibit

There have been several TPMG Zoo events in the past, but not only do have have some new members, but the zoo has a new exhibit! The Arctic Tundra features polar bears, arctic wolves, snowy owls, snow geese, reindeer, and polar bears. There's also a sharks and stingrays exhibit, but that's an extra $3 to get in, so we'll see if people want to see that.

We'll meet at the benches just inside the front entrance, eat lunch at one of the restaurants there, and leave around 4:00~ish.

I suggest you skip the shark and stingray exhibit.

For one I didn't see any sharks when i went. Only stingrays, and very little at that (compared to exhibits I've been to such as the one in San Francisco)

You wont' be doing any photography touching the stingrays and basically vying for position with 4 year olds to touch them.

This going to be my first event. I been trying to get to the Zoo all summer so this works out great. TTC pass saves you 20 % at the Zoo as well :) I will be taking TTC as well so see you there!!

The MetroPass saves you on Zoo admission, or is it the day pass? Or both?

Sorry we missed you Eric. We didn't get to the polar bears until the afternoon.

BTW, anybody who wants to see the polar bears should probably do so in the morning. By the time we got there, it was hard to find a section of glass that didn't have fingerprints on it, and two of the three polar bears were sleeping in the shade.
